The Edmonton Construction Association (ECA) was incorporated in 1931 and is today one of the largest Non-Profit Associations serving the Commercial, Institutional and Industrial Construction Industry in Canada. Jayson Roofing Inc. is proud to be one of over 1000 members receiving regular up-to-date information on construction procurement opportunities and industry activities.
CCA joined the picture in Ottawa in 1918. About 200 energetic industry leaders met and their collaboration sowed the seeds of today's association. They wanted to improve conditions and inform people about the industry - and they succeeded. They used their collective strength to shine a light on industry relationships and practices, standards for business ethics, education and labour matters. Their efforts have had a powerful voice and a source of support for the Canadian industry. Today, construction is a gigantic industry that touches the life of every person in Canada. It's a deeply entrenched and important part of our history, yet stretches dynamically into our future.
The Certificate of Recognition (COR) in safety is issued to employers who develop and implement health and safety programs that meet established standards. COR is an essential component of the Worker's Compensation Board's Partners in Injury (PIR) program. Certificates for the Alberta construction industry are issued by the Alberta Construction Safety Association and are co-signed by Alberta Employment and Immigration. Jayson Roofing Inc. has been forefront in reaching and maintaining high safety standards in the roofing industry.
Alberta Venture takes an active stance in promoting the accomplishments of Alberta’s business community and the Fast 50 celebration is a big part of that. The rankings reflect the vibrant entrepreneurial spirit found throughout all of Alberta. Representing the diversity of Alberta’s economy, there are familiar names as well as newcomers from various industries such as oil and gas, hi-tech and construction.
